Some of us grew up in production agriculture. Some married into it. Some are the farmers and ranchers.

We're passionate about this way of life, and sharing it in a beautiful, authentic way.

Our Team

Erin Ehnle Brown

Founder. Photographer. 16.8 miles from the family farm.

I grew up on a corn and soybean farm in central Illinois. My mom was out in the field as much as my dad, so we grew up eating, sleeping, and doing homework in tractor/combine cabs. It was an incredible childhood.

At 19, I picked up my camera, opened Photoshop, and started designing viral agricultural content, defending the people and industry I loved. It launched my career.

After spending my early 20s traveling across the country photographing farmers and ranchers for agencies and brands, I knew the industry was desperate for good stock imagery. In 2018, I launched my own stock photo site to sell the thousands of photos I’d taken just for fun.

In the last 7 years, that little site has grown into Real Ag Stock. It has been an absolute joy to view life through our photographers’ lenses, and to deliver stock imagery to the communicators who speak for our entire industry.

Liz Harder

Content Manager. Photographer. 1.3 miles from the family farm.

I grew up on a corn and soybean farm in central Illinois, where my parents' commitment to family and farming taught me the value of hard work, sacrifice, and grace. I picked up my mom’s camera and from 4-H projects to a degree in ag communications and a 10+ year career in ag marketing, my love for capturing moments has never faded.

In 2020, I reached out to Erin with an idea for ag video stock. I became her first contributor and have helped grow and manage the site ever since. It's rewarding to spotlight the people behind North American agriculture through authentic imagery and hear the stories that fuel our team's passion for the industry.

Michelle Mensing Hiscocks

Business Manager. Photographer. 78 miles from family farm.

I was raised on our southwest Iowa farm, where we grew corn and soybeans and ran a cow-calf operation. Naps in the combine with my head on the window are a core memory. 4-H sparked my interest in photography, but I earned a degree in agribusiness and worked as a research analyst after college. Craving a creative outlet, I picked up my camera and began capturing life on the farm. I joined Real Ag Stock as a contributor in 2021.

Today, I work as an ag communications specialist, run my photography business, and help manage Real Ag Stock. I love seeing the incredible agriculture images captured by photographers across the country.

Rhea Pfaffmann

Administrative Assistant. 35 miles from the family farm.

I grew up on a corn and soybean farm in central Illinois and didn’t realize then how fortunate I was. Now, with three boys of my own, I take them home to ride with my dad during harvest - a reminder of the privilege it was to see hard work modeled firsthand.

I’ve always enjoyed office work. I worked for a landscaping company in high school, then at an accounting firm before staying home with my kids. A few years in, I started thinking about working from home and connected with Erin. Helping with Real Ag Stock has been a fun return to admin work - and a blessing to fit it in during quiet moments.
